‘Tis a maiden across the shore,
Her eyes the tint of our expanse.
And in her smile she doth implore,
To cross the great blue void, perchance.
Her sandy hair as if composed
From the finest grains ‘neath her feet,
Doth in each strand proclaim a prose,
And in each knot construct a beat.
The fairest lady of the sea,
Her heart a treasure far away.
For a thousand years I would not flee,
If ‘cross the sea my maiden stay.
